Built by University of Windsor’s own, Justice Dundas and Adriano Durante, the second annual Border City Financial Case Competition revolved around a transitioning family-owned mid-market original equipment manufacturer.

Delegates were challenged to provide an industry analysis alongside a discounted cash flow valuation for this contract based business while accounting for several major variables and catalysts.

To compliment the main case, the disrupter allowed students to pursue solutions and strategic actions as the newly appointed owners of the business.
By combining existing skills learned in the classroom with the real world applications tied to this case, the participants were equipped for opportunities to enter the job market in the fields of capital markets, asset management, commercial banking, and corporate finance. The second annual Border City Financial Case Competition closing ceremony took place at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts venue located in downtown Windsor with a great view of the River. The event celebrated the victorious delegates, the organizing staff, other related parties and most importantly the honorable headline sponsor, Royal Bank of Canada.

During the event, closing remarks were shared by co-chairs Nico Fazio, Will Alfieri and Blagoja Ivanoski as well as Francine Schlosser, Executive Director of the EPICentre University of Windsor and Brien Convery, Director, Early Talent Acquisition, RBC.
